Cambodia Post staff have participated in SMCS Risk’s, Hazardous Substance and Dangerous Goods Awareness Training.

As a follow on from the recent fire safety and evacuation training, selected Cambodia Post staff have participated in a full day of theory and practical based training, designed to increase awareness of the risks and hazards associated with hazardous substances and dangerous goods in the workplace.

The training provided theory on how to respond to an HAZMAT incident, setting up command and controls systems, and coordinating decontamination and evacuation procedures.

“It’s important to learn about the risks and hazards associated with hazardous substances and dangerous goods. Not responding correctly could put lives at risk ” said Ron Dunne, SMCS Risk’s HAZMAT and Emergency Response Trainer.

As Cambodia Post staff complete these vital training courses, what is equally important is that they continue to practice their emergency response procedures so that if an emergency occurs, staff will be able to respond with confidence.
