SMCS Risk has finally completed building Cambodia’s first ever Work, Health & Safety Guidelines for the Construction Industry.

After being awarded the contract in June 2021, which was funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and supported by the Palladium Group, the SMCS Team spent 8 months designing the guidelines, which have been produced in both Khmer and English language.

“This was a very important project that has created Cambodia’s first ever Work, Health & Safety Guidelines for the Construction Industry. Once the guidelines are launched by the Government and Construction sites start to implement the safety guidelines that have been created, I am confident that it will assist everyone operating in Cambodia’s construction industry, but more importantly it will help reduce construction site incidents and save lives.” said Steve Morrish, CEO of SMCS GROUP.

SMCS GROUP would like to thank Cambodia’s Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction (MLMUPC), the Australian Governments Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Palladium Group and all the safety and construction agencies from around the world who provided work, health & safety information and advice to SMCS during the design and creation of the guidelines.
